     To commemorate the 30th Anniversary of Bob Marley’s death, Billabong teamed up with the Bob Marley Foundation on a capsule location honoring the legendary reggae artist. Among the t-shirts, shorts and accessories included in the collection is this New Era 59Fifty fitted hat. Available in Black, Grey and Khaki, the hat, dubbed “Kaya”, the name of an album Bob Marley and the Wailers released in 1978, features the foundation’s signature logo and the name of the apparel company embroidered across the front in stacked formation. Furthermore, the New Era flag along the left temple is accented in green, yellow and red to match the colors of the Rasta flag, which is seen in the Bob Marley logo.

Runaway x New Era Snapback Hats

     A new brand originating out Durham, North Carolina, Runaway Clothing comes together with New Era for their first hat collaboration. Rather than the standard 59Fifty, which seems to be the hat of choice for most brands when they finally get the chance to work alongside New Era, Runaway’s founder, Gabriel Eng-Goetz, stays true to the southern style he promotes through the brand and opts for the old-school snapback instead. To kick the headwear line off, Runaway presents two snapbacks, the “Runaway Kid” and the “Runaway Rabbit”. Its pretty clear which is which. New Balance x New Era 59Fifty Fitted Hats

     New Balance is getting back into the fitted hat game. After giving the headwear market a rest for a few years, the footwear manufacturer returns with a new line of fitted hats, produced by none other than, New Era. Shown here are four color options made to coordinate with a collection of recently released New Balance 574 model’s in the colors of several MLB teams. The teams represented include the New York Yankees (Navy/White), the Los Angeles Dodgers (Grey/Blue), the Boston Red Sox (Navy/Red) and the Cincinnati Red (Black/Red). Each hat features New Balance’s signature “N” logo in raised embroidery across the front, the company’s name in flat embroidery across the back and a “NB” hit offset on the left side of the brim.
     Unfortunately for US consumers, the New Balance x New Era 59Fifty fitted hats are only being released through select Japanese retailers, such as CapCollector.
